In the classroom's silent hum, I cast my gaze. A quiet spectator, just like always. Something whispers inside my heart, As I watch my classmates, each playing their own part. In stories, People would show kindness, hope and gratitude. Yet this world is full of manipulators, liars, savages and hypocrites. How ironic it is, that I would learn how to love, from people who do not even exist. Some are refusing to trust one another, while others are getting betrayed by their friends. Is this how it's always been? Is this how it always ends? I am lost, and I have only myself to blame. I still feel the knives in my back, even though I have gone numb from the pain. Once there was a girl, Whose family wanted her to be the most perfect girl of all. She does everything perfectly, At least that’s what she thinks. Everything she does is wrong, No matter how hard she tries. She gets scolded for talking, She gets scolded for being quiet. She gets scolded for crying, She gets scolded for not being enough. I was imprisoned in a room, with a total of 15 people. We were all trapped in there together, and the only way out was up. A light was spilling through the ceiling, but none of us were tall enough to reach it. I knew I couldn't climb my way up there, so I quit without even trying. They tried to climb one by one, but no one could climb past the tenth row of bricks. When their hands were covered in cuts and dust, they said they were done. They couldn't reach the light, so they started to hate it. Since they couldn't reach the top, no one else had the right. They kept attacking each other, with their fists, bodies and profanities. Yes, I really loved the poem! It reminded me of a mastermind pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Everything's going quite well for me, I've since moved out of my house, applied for a novel editing job, and my mental health is much better! Only downside is I gotta do my own laundry and cook my own meals, but hooray all the same!!!

Novel editing? Wow, that's amazing news! Maybe you should advertise on here that you are taking paid editing commissions? I know a couple of people who do alright doing that online. It never hurts to have multiple possible sources of income, after all.

But I am so glad to hear you are doing well. All teh extra drudgery doesn't sound very fun, but as long as your independence is good for your mental health, it is worth it. I truly hope you just keep doing better.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! Novel editing is really close to my dream job, which was to become a writer. Sadly I don't think I can do that with AI replacing so many jobs, even artists and writers aren't spared... So I thought that it's better if I do law for now.

I'll consider advertising here, probably not now because I have to juggle my studies as well Although more income means more potato chips...

Yes, I am still alive! Thanks for the nice words. My studies aren't really that intense, at least not when you compare it to me trying to pay off all these school fees! (I am in so much debt maybe I can milk some memes out of this pain in the future)

But I can at least afford to eat one noodle this week!
